Climbing Details: Route: Northwest Edge Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights Difficulty: Medium / Difficult Activity: Nature / Adventure Season: May / September Altitude Between: 3,100 / 6,034 m. Starting Point: Pashpa Cochapampa Program: Day 1 Huaraz (3,100 m) / Pashpa / Base Camp (4,350 m) Departure by private minibus, towards the north of the city of Huaraz with direction to cochapampa pashpa (40 min approx.) Height of 3,600 m later we will walk to the Ishinca base camp at 4,350 m the luggage and food we will transport on donkeys, this day we will appreciate a very impressive panorama of the black and white mountain range. (L, D) Elevation: + 750 m (duration 4/5 hours approx.) Day 2 Base Camp / Morena Field (4,950 m) We will begin our ascent to the moraine countryside, along a path marked with landmarks and melting rocks and reach the glacial. (B, L, D) Elevation: + 650 m (duration 4 hours approx.) Day 3 Morrena Field / Tocllaraju Summit (6,034 m) / Base Camp We get up very early in the morning, after a hot tea we will start walking on the glacier, drawing cracks, small ice walls and reaching the northern edge that will lead us to the summit, after some photos we will return to the moraine field. (B, L, D) Elevation: + 1,084 m / – 1,084 m (duration 7/8 hours approx. Up and down) Day 4 Base Camp / Pashpa / Huaraz This day we will return to the town of Pashpa, where the minivan awaits us to move to Huaraz. (B, L) Elevation: – 750 m (duration 4 hours approx.)
