Itinerary
Day 1 Huaraz (3,090 m) / Base Camp (4,300 m)
Departure with our transport, heading north of the city of Huaraz towards Yungay. We will then ascend to the Llanganuco Gorge (approximately 3 hours by transport). Afterward, we will arrange with the porters to transfer our equipment and food to base camp (duration 1 hour) (L, D)
Day 2 Base Camp / Morena Camp (4,900 m)
We will ascend to the Moraine Camp, along a steep, well-marked path with milestones, leading to the camp. (B, L, D)
- Altitude gain: +600 m (approximately 4 hours)
Day 3 Morena Camp / Camp 1 (5,600 m)
After breakfast, we will ascend a section of moraine and then over glaciers to Camp 1. Porters will help us carry our gear and food.
- Altitude gain: +700 m (approximately 4 hours) (B, L, D)
Day 4 Camp 1 / Summit (6,354 m) / Morena Camp
Very early in the morning, we will begin our ascent to the summit and take advantage of the good snow conditions. Temperatures range from -15°C to -20°C and the air temperature is very cold. The climb will reach a difficulty of 65°C to 70°C along the southwest ridge to the summit. After taking some photos, we will rappel down, following our previous tracks, to Camp 1 and then to the moraine camp.

Day 5 Camp Morena / Base Camp
We will return via the same ascent route to base camp. (B, L, D)
Day 6 Base Camp / Yungay / Huaraz
Return to Cebollapampa, where the minivan will be waiting for our transfer to Yungay and then to Huaraz. In the evening, we will celebrate our success in the mountains. (B, L)
