Itinerary

Day 1 Huaraz / Base Camp (4,750 m) / Summit (5,420 m)

We will depart very early in our private transport, heading south of the city of Huaraz towards Catac. Then we will detour from Pachacoto along the route to Pastoruri until we reach base camp. From there, we will begin to ascend through the rock moraine until we reach the glacier. After putting on our mountaineering gear and roping ourselves in, our experience begins on an ice slope with a 60° incline. We will have two very beautiful and vertical pitches of 50 meters and a 40° exit ramp that leads to the platform. We will continue ascending a moderate slope to the summit. You can see the Huayhuash mountain range and other peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. The descent is along the same route via a glacier. Rappelling, then to Huaraz. (B, L)
Altitude gain: +414 m (duration approx. 4/5 hours)
