Itinerary
Day 1 Huaraz / Pastoruri / Huaraz
Departure 8:00 A.M. Visit to the south of Huaraz, passing through the towns of Recuay, Ticapampa, and Catac. Upon arrival in Pachacoto, we will detour to Nevado Pastoruri. We will stop at Patococha Lagoon where we will see the Andean duck. Then, we will arrive at the Huascaran National Park checkpoint. We will pay S/ 12.00 Soles for a day trip. We will continue with visits to the Pumapampa spring (sparkling water), the seven-color lagoon (Pumapashimin), the Raimondi puyas, and the rock art paintings. Then, we will continue to the base camp of the Pastoruri snow-capped mountain (5,050 m). We will hike to the glacier, the frozen lagoon, and the crevasses. In the afternoon, we will return to Ticapampa, where we will have lunch at a tourist restaurant and continue to Huaraz.
