Itinerary
Day 1 Huaraz (3,100 m) / Rocotuyoc/ Huaraz
Departure at 8:30 a.m. Visit to the north of the Callejón de Huaylas, arriving in Marcara. We detour to the east side of the Cordillera Blanca, passing through the town of Vicos, and we will arrive at the entrance to the Paccharuri ravine, where we will pay S/. 10.00 Soles for a day trip to the Paccha waterfall. Then, we’ll ascend with our transportation to Rocotuyoc Lagoon (4,450 m). We’ll begin our 45-minute hike along the edge of the lagoon to the frozen lagoon (4,550 m). From here, you’ll have a panoramic view of the lagoon and mountains such as Copa, Paccharaju, and Bayoraju. After taking plenty of photos and enjoying the scenery and surroundings, we’ll return to our transportation to return to Huaraz.
