Itinerary

Day 1 Huaraz (3,090 m) / Base Camp (4,600 m)

Departure with our transportation, heading north of the city of Huaraz towards Yungay. We will then ascend to Cebollapampa (approximately 3 hours) at an altitude of 3,900 m. Afterwards, we will meet with the muleteers to transport our equipment and food to base camp. (L, D)

We will depart early in the morning, ascend an easy path, and cross a moraine of dead ice and rocks on the Huandoy peak. We will take advantage of the weather and the better snow conditions in the morning. We will ascend via the Southwest route to the Pisco summit (5,752 m). After taking some photographs, we will descend to base camp. (B, L, D)

Return to Cebollapampa, where the minivan will be waiting for our transfer to Yungay and then to Huaraz. In the evening, we will celebrate our success in the mountains. (B, L)
