Colca Canyon Tour
Departure at 03:00 a.m. Very early in the morning, we will travel toward the impressive Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. Along the way, we will visit the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, home to vicuñas, alpacas, and llamas surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes.
We will stop at Patapampa Viewpoint (4,830 m.a.s.l. / 15,846 ft), also known as the “Viewpoint of the Andes,” where we will enjoy spectacular views of the volcanic chain formed by the Ampato, Hualca Hualca, and Sabancaya volcanoes. Afterwards, we will descend to the town of Chivay (3,600 m.a.s.l. / 11,811 ft), located in the heart of the Colca Valley.
We will continue to the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, the best observation point of the canyon and the ideal place to admire the majestic flight of the Andean condor soaring above the depths of the valley. Later, we will visit the traditional village of Yanque, known for its colonial architecture, historic church, and ancestral traditions. Finally, we will return to Arequipa.
