Route: Normal Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night Difficulty: Demanding Medium Activity: Adventure / Mountaineering Season: May / October Altitude: Between 2,335 m (7,661 ft) and 6,075 m (19,931 ft) Starting Point: Arequipa
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arequipa → Base Camp → Camp 1 (5,300 m / 17,388 ft) Pickup from your hotel and transfer by 4×4 to the base camp (4,800 m / 15,748 ft). From there, we walk to Camp 1 at 5,300 m (17,388 ft). (Lunch, Dinner)
Day 2: Camp 1 → Summit (6,075 m / 19,931 ft) → Arequipa Very early in the morning we begin the ascent to the summit. After approximately 6 hours we reach the summit at 6,075 m (19,931 ft). You will enjoy an impressive view of the Volcanic Mountain Range. We descend by the same route back to Camp 1 and then to the road to return to Arequipa. (Breakfast, Lunch)
