Arequipa City Tour
In the afternoon, we will begin the City Tour in the beautiful white city of Arequipa, located at 2,335 m.a.s.l. / 7,661 ft, famous for its impressive colonial architecture built with white volcanic stone known as “sillar,” which gives the city its unique charm. During the tour, we will visit the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), surrounded by elegant colonial arches and magnificent historic churches. We will also explore the famous Santa Catalina Monastery, one of the most important and fascinating colonial convents in Peru, featuring colorful streets, peaceful courtyards, and traditional architecture that reflects the history and culture of Arequipa.

Finally, we will visit the Andean Sanctuaries Museum, home of the famous Juanita mummy, also known as the “Ice Maiden,” one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the Inca civilization found high in the Andes Mountains. During the visit, we will observe valuable archaeological artifacts, textiles, and ceremonial offerings that reveal the ancient traditions and rituals of the Inca culture.
