Cusco – Humantay Lake – Cusco

Very early in the morning, between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin our journey in private transportation for approximately 2.5 hours toward the town of Mollepata, located in the beautiful Apurímac Valley.

Upon arrival, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing our trip for approximately one more hour to Soraypampa, located at 3,900 m / 12,795 ft above sea level. After a short rest and preparation, we will begin our hike to the stunning Humantay Lake, situated at 4,200 m / 13,780 ft above sea level.

The ascent takes approximately one hour, during which we will enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. Upon arrival at Humantay Lake, our guide will provide an explanation about the area, followed by free time to explore, relax, and take unforgettable photographs of this beautiful glacial lagoon.

After our visit, we will begin our return hike of approximately 40 minutes back to our transportation. We will then return to Mollepata, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco, arriving approximately between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.
