Itinerary
Day 1: La Paz (3,600 m / 11,811 ft) → Sajama Village (4,200 m / 13,780 ft) → Base Camp (4,800 m / 15,748 ft)
Departure from La Paz towards Sajama National Park, crossing the beautiful Bolivian Altiplano with impressive views of volcanoes and traditional Andean villages. Arrival at Sajama Village and continuation to Base Camp, where climbers organize equipment and prepare for the expedition.
Day 2: Base Camp (4,800 m / 15,748 ft) → High Camp (5,700 m / 18,701 ft)
After breakfast, begin the ascent through volcanic terrain and glacier sections toward High Camp. During the climb, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Andes and surrounding snow-capped peaks. Arrival at High Camp for rest and final preparations for summit day.
Day 3: High Camp (5,700 m / 18,701 ft) → Summit Sajama (6,550 m / 21,489 ft) → Base Camp (4,800 m / 15,748 ft)
Very early departure for the summit attempt of Nevado Sajama, the highest mountain in Bolivia. The climb follows glacier slopes and snowfields leading to breathtaking summit views. After reaching the summit, descend carefully back to Base Camp.
Day 4: Base Camp (4,800 m / 15,748 ft) → Hot Springs (4,200 m / 13,780 ft) → La Paz (3,600 m / 11,811 ft)
Morning relaxation at the natural hot springs near Sajama National Park, ideal for recovery after the climb. Later, return to La Paz through the scenic landscapes of the Bolivian highlands.
