TOUR PROGRAM

During this interesting excursion, we will explore the main attractions of Ica, a city well known for its vineyards, desert landscapes, and rich cultural traditions.

Our tour begins with a visit to the Main Square of Ica, surrounded by traditional colonial architecture and local monuments. We will then continue to the Temple and Alameda de Luren, one of the most representative and historic sites in the city.

Afterwards, we will visit Cachiche, a small and traditional village famous for its mystical legends about ancient witches. Here we will observe the well-known Seven-Headed Palm Tree and the monument dedicated to one of the legendary witches of Cachiche.

Next, we will visit the traditional wine and pisco winery “Catador,” where we will learn about the production process of the most important local beverages of Ica. Visitors will enjoy a tasting of the different products produced by the winery, including Peruvian Pisco and local wines.

Finally, we will head to the famous Huacachina Oasis, located only 5 km from downtown Ica, at an altitude of 406 m.a.s.l. / 1,332 ft. This beautiful desert oasis is surrounded by enormous sand dunes and palm trees, creating one of the most spectacular landscapes on the Peruvian coast. Visitors will have time to walk around the lagoon, relax, and take excellent photographs. The giant dunes also offer the opportunity to practice sandboarding, one of the most exciting adventure sports in the region.

After the excursion, transfer back to the city.

RECOMMENDATIONS

• Light clothing is recommended, as the city of Ica usually has very hot weather, especially during the summer months (December to March), when daytime temperatures average around 35°C / 95°F.
• If taking the afternoon tour, bringing a light jacket is recommended due to possible cold winds in the evening.

We also recommend bringing water, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
